Why shouldn't we just drink tap water?
Our bodies crave the purest, cleanest water. Unfortunately, tap water can be laden with harmful dissolved solids like arsenic, asbestos, barium, chlorine, cyanide, copper, fluoride, lead, mercury, and even pharmaceutical drugs and birth control hormones! Click here to view the 6 reasons why you should filter your water.
How does hormone-infused water affect me?
Birth control hormones can infiltrate our water supply through the watse produced by the population, especially in urban areas where water is recycled for drinking. These xeno-oestrogens are a “foreign” hormone that mimics the molecular structure of natural oestrogen so closely that it can bind to our body's oestrogen receptors.
These synthetic hormones pose a health risk to all individuals, but are particularly detrimental to those with hormonal imbalances or conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, erectile dysfunction, and fertility problems.
Why should I choose ZeroWater?
ZeroWater stands out with its unique 5-stage ionic filtration system that targets and removes everything except hydrogen and oxygen, ensuring an impressive 99.6% reduction in Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). This results in water that is virtually free of impurities, showcasing the superior performance of ZeroWater compared to other brands like Brita’s 2-stage filter. It’s the only filter in its price range capable of achieving zero PPM (parts per million) of TDS. Plus, ZeroWater pitchers and dispensers are crafted from medical-grade plastic, ensuring that no harmful chemicals leach into your water.
What is TDS?
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are non-organic impurities present in water, including minerals, salts, metals (like lead), chemicals, fluoride, and pollutants from surface run-off. These dissolved Solids enter our water supply through various sources such as old piping, road salts, pesticides, and fertilisers. ZeroWater's unique filtration system removes and impressive 99.6% of TDS, including fluoride. It's so effective that it can even turn wine into water!
What does Zero PPM mean?
Zero Parts Per Million (PPM) signifies that the water contains absolutely no total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water. Ideally, drinking water should have Zero PPM and be free from any solids or contaminants that could be harmful to our bodies. With ZeroWater, achieving this level is effortless. Watch the SimpleLab test here to see ZeroWater in action!
When should I change my filter?
Each jug or dispenser comes with one filter - how often this needs replacing depends on the TDS levels in your water. Most UK tap water has a TDS level between 25-200 PPM, meaning each filter can produce approximately 95-150+ litres of pure water before needing to be replaced. Since TDS levels vary based on location, your filter might last longer OR need replacing sooner. Visit our 'replacement filters' product page to view a map of TDS levels across the UK.
